    Police temporarily closed road near K-State’s campus due to ‘suspicious device’

    MANHATTAN ( KSNT ) – A road near Kansas State University’s was temporarily closed Thursday evening while police investigated a “suspicious device”.

    The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) posted on social media just before 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 stating that officers temporarily closed the 1000 block of Ratone Street. Police were investigating a “suspicious device”.

    At 9:17 p.m., RCPD posted that the device was benign, and there is no longer a threat to the public. The scene is expected to be cleared within the hour. KSNT 27 News will share more information as it becomes available.
