    New Orleans Saints ruin Dallas Cowboys home opener

    ARLINGTON, Texas ( KTAL/KMSS ) — Alvin Kamara found the end zone just over four minutes into the game and the New Orleans Saints (2-0) never looked back in a 44-19 win over the Dallas Cowboys (1-1) in their home opener at AT&T Stadium.

    Kamara and the offense is thriving in the new Klint Kubiak offense, scoring 91 points through two games. Kamara finished the game with 180 all purpose yards and 4 touchdowns, he now has 290 yards and 5 touchdowns on the season. The Saints have outscored their two opponents 91-29 through two games.

    New Orleans converted their first five third downs. Derek Carr led the Saints to points on 15 straight possessions before he was intercepted by former Woodlawn star Donovan Wilson with 12:04 remaining in the game.

    The Saints took a 14-3 lead to end the first quarter after Rashid Shaheed got behind the Cowboys defense on a 70 yard touchdown connection with Derek Carr.

    The Cowboys looked nothing like they did in a week one win over the Cleveland Browns where the front seven lived in the Cleveland backfield. Dallas trailed 35-16 at the half, giving up the most points in a half in 20 years.

    Haughton grad Dak Prescott finished the game 27/39 passing for 293 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Prescott connected with CeeDee Lamb for a 65 yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter to pull the Cowboys within a touchdown at 21-13 midway through the quarter. Lamb finished the game with 4 receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.

    The Saints host North Webster grad Devin White and the Philadelphia Eagles Eagles on Sunday, September 22nd at noon.

    The Cowboys host Evangel grad Ar’Darius Washington and the Baltimore Ravens at 3:25 p.m. on September 22nd.
