This security cam blasts thieves with smoke and pepper spray

A security camera company is taking a bold step towards helping businesses fend off crime: cameras that can launch smoke bombs and pepper spray.

We profiled Deep Sentinel back in 2021. The company is notable for its security cameras, with live operators acting as virtual security guards. They can view a live stream of security cameras and warn trespassers to leave in real-time.

Their latest add-on is called FlashBang . The devices can deploy smoke bombs, pepper spray, and super-loud sirens.

The company says if regular deterrents don’t work, their virtual security guards can set off the FlashBang devices.

In a press release, Deep Sentinel CEO David Selinger says the product is necessary because criminals are getting more aggressive and aren’t scared by typical security systems.
