A 25-year-old man is in custody after allegedly carjacking a motorist’s vehicle in the South Los Angeles neighborhood of Chesterfield Square Sunday, authorities confirmed to KTLA.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the area of Western and Slauson avenues on reports of the carjacking.

According to reports posted to the Citizen App, the carjacking suspect, who stole an orange Nissan Altima, was armed, though police have not confirmed that detail to KTLA.
