Firefighters with the U.S. Forest Service, along with regional ag encies, are working to contain the massive Line Fire in San Bernardino County, California.

As of Monday morning, the fire had scorched more than 21,000 acres and forced the evacuation of thousands of homes in the communities of Running Springs, Highland, and Redlands – roughly 60 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Around 36,000 structures are threatened, and California Gov. Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency.
