Chester Bennington’s son Jaime is slamming Linkin Park for adding Emily Armstrong as their new singer.

Jaime posted numerous messages to his Instagram Stories voicing his disapproval of the move. His posts come just days after the band announced they were getting back together after a seven-year hiatus following Chester’s death in 2017.

The 41-year-old died by suicide after the band released their last album “One More Light.”

He accused Linkin Park co-founder Mike Shinoda of quietly erasing his “father’s life and legacy in real time, not only during a band interview meant to clear the air about certain aspects of Linkin Park’s history and future but during international suicide prevention month.”

He also targeted Armstrong’s ties to the Church of Scientology and pointed out that she was an ally to Danny Masterson. The “That ’70s Show” actor is currently serving a 30-year-to-life prison sentence for raping two women.

Jaime claimed the band’s recent moves as something fans will have to “acclimate to” and that it’s “not a shock that people are just going to have to take time (to) process and understand.” He went on to claim that the band has betrayed “the trust loaned” to the band by “decades of fans and supported human beings” including himself.

He continued saying the band “betrayed the trust” of the fans who “trusted you to be the bigger better person. To be the change. Because you promised us that was your intention. Now you’re just senile and tone deaf.”

Over the weekend Armstrong posted a since-expired story on Instagram to address this.

“Hi, I’m Emily. I’m new to so many of you, and I wanted to clear the air about something that happened a while back,” she wrote according to Billboard . “Several years ago, I was asked to support someone I considered a friend at a court appearance, and went to one early hearing as an observer. Soon after, I realized I shouldn’t have. I always try to see the good in people, and I misjudged him. I have never spoken with him since. Unimaginable details emerged and he was later found guilty.”

Just three days ago Linkin Park announced their “new chapter” to the world , which included signing on Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain. They launched a new single, “The Emptiness Machine.”

The band also announced a new album called “From Zero,” which is due out on Nov. 15. The band also announced the “From Zero World Tour,” featuring five arena shows in Los Angeles; New York; Hamburg, Germany; London and Seoul this month, and a sixth in November in Bogotá, Colombia.
