It’s not just wildfires that are torturing Southern Californians right now, as a blaze destroyed part of a strip mall in Whittier Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported at 2:25 a.m. and contained within half an hour, but not before multiple establishments at Telegraph Road and Mills Avenue caught fire, according to Luis Garcia of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Ultimately, five units were at least partially damaged, the Fire Department said.

One of those units appeared to have been that of the restaurant Pizzamania, and Everytable and El Camino Family Restaurant appear to have also been damaged.

No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported.

Sofia Pop Perez contributed to this report.

It was probably the plaza owner. He just recently got a Raising Cane's and a WSS in the Plaza. I'm sure he is trying to bring in more big names to make more money.
