Baby taken by ‘armed and dangerous’ teen located: CHP

The California Highway Patrol issued and then deactivated an AMBER Alert for a missing 9-month-old child who was abducted by a teenager early Wednesday morning.

According to a CHP bulletin , the victim was 9-month-old Jaydan Avalos, and his abductor was 18-year-old David Avalos. Their relationship was not disclosed.

David was said by authorities to be “armed and dangerous” and fled with the young child in a red Lexus sedan from West Carson.

At 9 a.m. Wednesday, just over an hour after the initial AMBER Alert was issued, CHP announced that Jaydan had been located.

Authorities did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding Jaydan’s location nor did they disclose any information on David’s whereabouts.

It is not known if the 18-year-old is in custody.
