    LASD attempting to identify woman found dead near Santa Clarita in August

    The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is still trying to identify a woman who was found dead in Agua Dulce a month ago.

    According to an LASD bulletin , the unidentified female was found in the 9400 block of Sierra Highway in Agua Dulce – a community northeast of Santa Clarita – on Aug. 11.

    Investigators were able to produce this description of the victim:

    • Hispanic female
    • 40-50 years old
    • Between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9
    • 135 pounds
    • Short, graying hair
    • Natural teeth
    • Possible lip liner tattoo
    • Circular scar on neck

    The woman was wearing a black jacket, long grey sweater, gray shorts and heavy black boots when she was discovered deceased, LASD said.

    Her name could possibly be Jennifer, officials added.

    Anyone with information on the female’s identity or circumstances surrounding her death is asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau by calling 323-890-5500.
