Authorities investigate after Southern California man found dead in dirt lot

Authorities are searching for more information after a Southern California man was found dead in a dirt lot.

The victim was identified as Eddy Fernando Carrillo, 44, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

On May 17, authorities responded to an area near 45th Street East and East Avenue K in Lancaster.

Carrillo’s body was found lying in a vacant dirt lot in the area, deputies said. The extent of his injuries, along with his cause of death, were not released.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation. On Thursday, Sept. 12, amid the ongoing investigation, detectives sought the public’s help for more information.

No suspect has been arrested in the case and no further information was released by LASD.
