A Jurupa Valley teen has turned himself in to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department after gunshots rang out after a high school football game on Friday.

The 17-year-old, whose identity has not been released due to his age, turned himself in on Wednesday and was booked into juvenile hall on multiple counts of attempted murder, officials said in a news release.

The Sheriff’s Department said that just before 10 p.m. Friday, the teen was part of an argument between two groups that occurred in a crowd of more than 200 people in the 1800 block of Hamner Avenue in Norco.

Several gunshots were fired during that argument, though the teen fled before authorities arrived, the release said.

He was identified by investigators as the suspected shooter and search warrants were served, though the teen remained outstanding until his surrender on Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Passalacqua at 951-955–2600.

I am just wondering why the identity should be hidden when it comes to firearm safety. This is the reason why human trafficking is booming because these minors being trafficked for prostitution are not known and police prefer to hide them. Why?????? Why are police protecting the traffickers???
