    Major crash shuts down 101 Freeway in Ventura County

    Part of the 101 Freeway remains shut down after a violent crash in Camarillo overnight.

    The crash occurred just after midnight Sunday morning on the northbound side of the 101 near Carmen Drive.

    CHP’s Ventura Area office announced the hard closure due to the “major injury crash” at 1:35 a.m.

    The crash involved a single vehicle; both of its occupants were taken to the hospital, but the nature of their injuries is not known.

    Footage from the scene shows the mangled car on its side as investigators began to comb through the wreckage.

    The affected stretch of freeway was expected to be closed “for several hours” due to the investigation, CHP said, and as of 7 a.m., it had not yet reopened.

    What caused the crash has not yet been determined.

    This is the same pictures of the accident the night before. The article stated it was a police’s chase and the vehicles was used in a robbery 30 minutes before the accident occurred . NewsBreak is starting to be a no realizable source for news!
