A father and son are dead and another person was wounded in a shooting in the unincorporated Santa Susana Mountains Sunday evening, according to a report.

The shooting was reported just after 6:30 p.m. in the 28800 block of Paradise Road in Val Verde.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said it was initially reported that a father had injured himself and his son, the Santa Clarita Valley Signal reports .

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said a third person was transported to a local hospital, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the victim is an adult woman.

While it was initially unclear if there were multiple shooters, the Sheriff’s Department later confirmed all three people were related and this was a “domestic” incident that culminated in a murder/suicide.

The father and son were declared dead at the scene, while the woman’s condition has not been disclosed.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the LASD Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.

Wonder if it was a police officer. I know a ton of Sheriffs live out in the Santa Clarita area, and cops lead very stressful lives. We'll find out soon enough.
