    Police investigate Valley shooting that killed a 19-year-old

    A 19-year-old man was killed, and another person was wounded in a shooting in Canoga Park on Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

    Police said officers responded to the 11:50 p.m. call about a shooting in the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue.

    When responders arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds and transported them to a hospital.

    LAPD said one of the victims, the 19-year-old, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

    The second victim was treated and is in stable condition.

    Detectives are asking anyone who may have information that may further aid in this investigation to contact Operations-Valley Bureau Homicide at 818-374-9550.
