Elderly man dies in motorcycle crash in Simi Valley

A 75-year-old motorcyclist has died, several days after he was seriously injured in a crash in Simi Valley.

Frederick Wachter was injured last Thursday around 2:20 p.m. after he went off the roadway and crashed near the intersection of Mt. Sinai and Kuehner drives.

The Simi Valley Police Department responded to the scene and Wachter was transported to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.

On Saturday, days after the initial crash, police learned that Wachter had died from the injuries he suffered.

The crash remains under investigation by the Police Department, which is asking for the public’s help to determine what happened.
