SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is not the best stadium in the NFL but it did crack the top five, according to a survey released Thursday.
Lumen Field, the home of the Seattle Seahawks, was named the best stadium for football fans to visit in USA Today’s rankings of all NFL stadiums.
SoFi, which has already hosted a Super Bowl and will be featured prominently in the 2028 Summer Olympics, finished fourth best out of 30 stadiums in a poll of six sports writers who regularly cover the NFL.
SoFi opened in 2020 and seats more than 70,000 fans. “The plan when SoFi Stadium opened was for the site to be a sports epicenter – and it has delivered,” USA Today writer Tyler Dragon said.
Dragon noted SoFi’s unique canopy which covers most of the stadium, its massive 360-degree double-sided video board and the YouTube Theater attached to the outside of the stadium.
Top 5 NFL Stadiums according to the survey:
1. Lumen Field – Seattle Seahawks
2. Lambeau Field – Green Bay Packers
3. U.S. Bank Stadium – Minnesota Vikings
4. SoFi Stadium – Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams
5. AT&T Stadium – Dallas Cowboys
Worst 5 NFL Stadiums according to the survey:
26. Highmark Stadium – Buffalo Bills
27. EverBank Stadium – Jacksonville Jaguars
28. Paycor Stadium – Cincinnati Bengals
29. MetLife Stadium – New York Giants, New York Jets
30. Northwest Stadium – Washington Commanders
Northwest Stadium was described as a “gargantuan, crumbling (even near the players) erector set sitting at the center of a massive parking lot about a half hour’s drive removed from the nation’s capital,” by USA Today’s Nate Davis.
