The driver of an allegedly stolen pickup truck gave himself up to police after a pursuit Thursday morning, but not before striking two patrol vehicles.

Sky5 found the pursuit in the Culver City area just after 11 a.m., but before that, the pickup slammed into two Los Angeles Police Department vehicles, meaning the driver was wanted for vehicle theft and assault on a police officer, officials told KTLA.

The driver managed to escape a tight situation when he was cornered in a cul-de-sac, but he drove onto the grass to escape.

That freedom was short-lived, however, as about five minutes later, the driver found himself in another dead end. He exited the truck and gave himself up to police.

Nancy Fontan contributed to this report.

Quit using the word allegedly. Either he did it or he didn’t. What else needs to be said.
