Authorities confirmed a Southern California teenager who had been missing for days was found safe Thursday night.

The teen, Jayleen Jazmin Montrie, 19, has initially been missing since Oct. 7, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“Thank you to the public, the media, Aero Bureau, and deputy personnel for their tireless efforts in the search for Ms. Montrie,” LASD said.

At the time, she was last seen near the 14000 block of Adger Drive in Whittier with her German shepherd dog and her family was concerned as they hadn’t heard from her since her disappearance.

Neither the circumstances surrounding Montrie’s discovery nor the condition in which she was found were released.
