Bike MS: Bay to Bay 2024 dedicated to KTLA’s Sam Rubin

Late KTLA entertainment anchor Sam Rubin was a tireless advocate and ally for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society .

For decades, he played a crucial role in organizing the MS 150 Bay to Bay Bike Tour along the coast of Orange and San Diego counties and, with KTLA’s Eric Spillman and others, would complete the journey and raise millions for the fight against MS.

“Fewer people have had a greater impact on this incredible event,” organizers recall. “Sam used his celebrity for good. He attracted and connected our ride with multiple sponsors … and promoted Bay to Bay on-air at KTLA to grow our ride and raise more funding.”

“He backed special efforts to help people with MS complete the ride, and he was our goodwill ambassador everywhere he went, and for every mile, he rode right next to you.”

Even with Sam gone, the fight continues.
