    Santa Monica police searching for assault suspect

    Police are searching for a suspect wanted for an assault in Santa Monica.

    The assault occurred on Sept. 22 near the 1400 block of Alley 5 at around 12:35 a.m., according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

    Surveillance cameras captured the man running on the sidewalk while barefoot. He was last seen fleeing on Santa Monica Boulevard towards 7th Street.

    Police described him as a man around 25-35 years old with bleached blonde hair and a black beard. He has tattoos that cover both arms.

    The details surrounding the assault were not released by authorities. He was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt and shorts.
