A public hospital in Los Angeles is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who has been hospitalized for more than a week.

The “John Doe” has been hospitalized at Los Angeles General Medical Center in Boyle Heights since Oct. 11. Hospital officials did not say anything about his condition, nor where he was found prior to his hospital visit.

He’s described as being around 70 years old, standing 5 feet 5 inches and 110 pounds. He has a thin build, white hair and brown eyes, officials said.

A photo shared by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services showed the man sitting upright and looking alert, a stark contrast to much of the releases issued by local hospitals when they are seeking a patient’s identity.

Anyone who might recognize the man is urged to contact L.A. General’s Department of Clinical Social Work at 323-409-5253.
