    Horizon PD: 1 hurt, 1 in custody after pedestrian crash

    EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) – A person was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries, and a “female” is currently in custody after a crash involving a pedestrian on Wednesday, Sept. 4 in Horizon, according to a spokesperson with the Horizon Police Department.

    Horizon PD said officers were dispatched at 3:03 p.m. Sept. 4 to the corner of Horizon Boulevard and North Kenazo Avenue on a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian call.

    Officers began their investigation and found that the call was actually an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Horizon PD.

    Horizon PD said the victim, no name or age given, was struck and taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

    A “female” is currently in custody and Horizon PD is investigating the incident.

    Motorists are advised that South Kenazo Ave., between Horizon Blvd. and McMahon Ave., is closed as law enforcement continues investigating.
