EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — El Paso Water is conducting a rate study and it wants community feedback on priorities and preferences, the utility said in a news release.

The rate study is a financial review that looks at water and wastewater revenue and expenses and “considers how to structure rates to cover the costs of utility services,” El Paso Water said.

An open-house meeting will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Memorial Park Senior Center, 1800 Byron St.

The open house will be an oppportunity to learn more about the services the utility provides and for the community to share its preferences, the utility said.

Attendees don’t have to stay for the entire meeting but can come and go throughout the three hours.

“EPWater will have in-house experts available to provide information and answer
questions on water supply for the future, water quality, capital improvement program, customer
service, conservation and more,” the utility said.

If unable to atend the open house, you can provide your input through an online survey by clicking here .

The results of the rate study will be shared with the public at the Public Service Board’s budget workshop in early December.
