Week 3 #9OT Game of the Week: Americas vs. Pebble Hills

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The 2024 Week 3 #9OT Game of the Week is a non-district matchup between the Americas Trail Blazers and Pebble Hills Spartans at SISD’s SAC 1 on Friday night.

Americas, led by head coach Noe Robles, is looking to bounce from a 38-37 loss in a closely contested game against Hanks last Thursday. That was the Trail Blazers’ first game of the 2024 season. It’s original first game of the season against Coronado on Aug. 30 was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Americas junior running back Cam’ron Johnson headlines the Trail Blazers talent on the gridiron.

Pebble Hills, led by head coach Ryan Warner, is still trying to get its first win of the season and first win under the direction of its new head coach. Pebble Hills is coming off a 28-23 loss to Midland last Friday.

Pebble Hills has the firepower to collect its first win of the season on Friday. Senior linebacker Dorian Jaramillo and senior running back Zereian Quarles are players to watch out for, for the Spartans on Friday night.

Both teams are aiming to collect its first win of the season, but only one can do so on Friday night.

Kickoff for the Americas and Pebble Hills game is 7:30 p.m. MT at the SAC I.
