EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — A 50-year-old man was killed Sunday night, Sept. 8 when he became “dislodged” from the motorcycle he was riding along Interstate 10 and was hit by a semitruck and four other vehicles.

Police said the semitruck did not stop and fled the scene.

1 person killed in motorcycle crash at I-10 East, Airway

Ricardo Cuellar, 50, was killed in the multi-vehicle crash that happened at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Interstate 10 East near Airway.

Cuellar was riding his motocycle when he somehow became dislodged from his bike, police said.

He was then hit by a semitruck that did not stop and continued east on Interstate 10, police said.

Police said he was then hit by four other vehicles which all remained on the scene.

Cuellar died at the scene, police said.

His motorcycle continued to travel for several hundred feet until it struck another vehicle, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information about how Cuellar became separated from his motorcycle or information about the semitruck to call the El Paso Police Department’s non-emergency number at (915) 832-4400 or you can remain anonymous by calling (915) 566-TIPS (8477).

This is the 44th traffic fatality of this year in El Paso, compared to 53 at the same time last year.

I know this is probably going to gas light people, but did you know when getting your license in Mexico, you are not required to take a driving test.
