UPDATE: All lanes reopen along Loop 375 after vehicle fire

UPDATE: Left three lanes of traffic along Loop 375 South at Rojas are now open after a vehicle fire Friday afternoon, TxDOT said. Minor backup is being reported.

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — A vehicle fire is impacting traffic in East El Paso.

The right three lanes along Loop 375 South at Rojas are closed because of a vehicle fire, the Texas Department of Transportation said.

Fire dispatch said a garbage truck caught on fire at about 2:40 p.m. There were no injuries.

Smoke could be seen for miles. KTSM viewer Mary Ann Moya captured a couple of images of the vehicle fire.

Minor backup is being reported. Clearing time is until further notice.
