    It’s time for the football!! Your news team always picks the winner of tonight’s game in advance. Tonight, I have very bad news for Sam Guzman. He picked the same team as I to win: the Chicago Bears. (Ha, ha, ha, ha… evil laugh.) Sam and I have the others right where we want them with “Da Bears” cruising to a sweeping victory. (Perhaps.) Your other forecast (the weather) is below. P.S. Only Monica Cortez has a perfect picking record.

    TONIGHT:   The skies will be partly cloudy overnight.  We may see some distant lightning with storms to the north and west of El Paso.  Expect occasional gusts as well.  The prevailing wind will be variable at 5-10 mph, and the low will drop to 69.

    FORECAST:  Monday will be partly cloudy with widely scattered late day t-showers.  The south-SE winds will range from 5-20 mph, and the high will be 95.  Tuesday will start out with mostly cloudy skies and a chance of lingering morning showers.  By afternoon, the skies will clear on the way to a high of 94.  Wednesday will be sunny and dry with a high of 95. Thursday will be sunny and 93.  Friday will be mostly sunny but windy with a high of 89.  The west winds will gust to near 35 mph with the strongest gusts on the east slopes. Fall officially begins Sunday, Sept. 22 at 6:44 AM.
