EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) – Diana Mooy, a 17-year education veteran, is the new associate superintendent of Technology Information Services effective Oct. 1, the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) announced in a news release on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

YISD said Mooy began her career as a fourth and fifth-grade teacher in 2007 at Socorro ISD before being promoted to several positions over the years including student activities director, intervention coach and assistant principal.

Mooy joined YISD in 2020 as a coordinator in the Office of Student Services and was later promoted to director.

She worked collaboratively with students, parents and administrators to provide information and resolve concerns at the campus and district levels on a variety of issues, according to YISD.

YISD said Mooy holds a bachelor’s degree in informational technology and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, both from the University of Phoenix.
