    Police assist in ‘high-angle rescue’ after crash on Transmountain

    UPDATE: All lanes were opened back up just before 9 a.m. Monday, according to TxDOT.

    EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — El Paso Police are assisting in a “high-angle rescue” Monday morning, Sept. 30, after a crash closed all lanes on Loop 375 East at Tom Mays Trail.

    TxDOT says an overturned vehicle is currently blocking the area and clearing time is until further notice.

    Police sent out an alert to media at around 7 a.m. Monday, saying their Combined Search and Rescue team was responding to Transmountain near the summit to assist in a high-angle rescue.

    Police say they are investigating the single-vehicle crash.

    No further information has been released. This story will be updated once we learn more.
