EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — More than 20 firefighters responded to a warehouse fire on Saturday, Sept. 28, in Las Cruces, according to the Las Cruces Fire Department.

The Fire Department says shortly before noon this past Saturday, crews were dispatched to L & P Building Supply located at 101 N. Archuleta Rd. and found a warehouse and several stacks of lumber on fire.

Crews attacked the blaze and were able to get the warehouse fire under control within 20 minutes. Several stacks of lumber had to be removed by using a forklift to extinguish the burning material, the Fire Department said.

Two dozen firefighters assisted with the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries were reported. Damage estimates have yet to be determined, the Fire Department said.
