    El Paso Water awarded $12.7M for infrastructure

    EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) – El Paso Water announced Thursday, Oct. 3 that the utility received a $12.7 million award through the Department of Defense’s Defense Community Infrastructure Program (DCIP) to increase making better water lines in the McGregor Range area.

    The announcement was made at a press conference hosted by Congresswoman Veronica Escobar (TX-16) with the utility on Oct. 3 in Downtown El Paso.

    In addition, El Paso Water said the utility hopes to get the project started within a few months.
