    Young man found dead in South-Central El Paso

    EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — A young man was found dead early Monday morning, Oct. 7, in South-Central El Paso, according to El Paso Police.

    Police say the young man is Hispanic and died as a result of a gunshot wound. His age is not known but he appears to be a young adult, possibly in his late teens, police said.

    Police say the call came in at 1:30 a.m. Monday at the 3300 block of East San Antonio near Bowie High School.

    Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.

    Initially, police sent out an alert to media at around 2:30 a.m. Monday, calling the incident an “unknown problem.”

    The Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating the incident.

    No further information has been released.
