EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) – The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9 it has passed its voluntary monthly arsenic tests for October.

CRRUA passes September arsenic tests, provides discolored water report

CRRUA, which provides water and wastewater service to Sunland Park and Santa Teresa, has been under fire for months over concerns about water quality and discolored water.

Test results released by Eurofins Environment Testing, a water testing lab certified by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED), show that arsenic levels at three arsenic treatment facilities (ATF) operated by CRRUA are below the federal limit of 10 parts per billion (ppb.), according to the utility.

CRRUA says it has passed quarterly arsenic tests again

The utility excluded the Border Entry ATF from its monthly voluntary testing due to its continued meeting of all NMED requirements, according to CRRUA.
