EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — El Paso Giving Day kicked off early with a “giving” celebration.

Early Giving runs from Thursday, Oct. 10 through Wednesday, Oct. 16 where the community can donate to a list of over 200 local nonprofit organizations.

Donors can also make their donations during El Paso Giving Day, which starts on Thursday, Oct. 17, by visiting their website to give their contributions of at least $10, according to the news release by the Paso Del Norte Community Foundation.

“El Paso Giving Day is an online charitable giving campaign designed to highlight the essential work of nonprofit organizations and ignite the spirit of giving in our community,” according to the Paso Del Norte Community Foundation.

Since founded in 2016, El Paso Giving Day has raised nearly $9 million for local nonprofits, according to the Paso Del Norte Community Foundation.

“El Paso Giving Day is an important and critical fundraising event for nonprofits in our community,” said Andrea Macias, Paso del Norte Community Foundation development coordinator. “Join us as we soar to new heights in the largest day of charitable giving, aiming to raise $1.5 million for our community.”

In addition, El Paso Giving Day will be at the Amigo Airsho from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 12 and 13 at Biggs Army Airfield on Fort Bliss to learn more about the fundraising event.
