EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso has released a list of road closures for the week of Oct. 11, that could affect your commute.
I-10 Widening West
Sunday, Oct. 13, and Monday, Oct. 14 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- I-10 East will be reduced to one lane between Redd Road and Mesa Street.
- The eastbound Artcraft Road onramp will be closed.
WDETOUR: Continue on South Desert Boulevard, enter I-10 past Mesa.
Crews will be placing concrete pavement.
Monday, Oct. 14 through Saturday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Vinton Road and Transmountain Road as needed.
Crews will be working on retaining walls.
Monday, Oct. 14, through Saturday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Mesa Street and Redd Road.
Crews will be conducting earth work.
Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- I-10 East will be reduced to one lane between Los Mochis Drive and Transmountain Drive.
Crews will be placing concrete pavement.
Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- I-10 West will be reduced to one lane between Transmountain Road and Los Mochis Drive.
Crews will be placing concrete pavement.
Maintenance
Sunday, Oct. 13 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- US-54 northbound complete freeway closure between Loop 375 (Border Hwy) and I-10, Exit 20 (Paisano).
- Paisano entrance ramp closed.
- I-110 entrance ramp closed.
- Loop 375 eastbound to US-54 North closed.
- Rosa Street between Boone and Uva Place complete road closure.
Crews will be working on bridge joints.
Monday, Oct. 14 and Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Loop 375 westbound at Padres exit and entrance closed.
Crews will be performing mill and inlay.
Monday, Oct. 14 through Friday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Spur 6 east- and westbound between Antonio Street and Jaime Street alternate lane closures (Anthony, Texas).
- Loop 375 (Border West) east and westbound between Spur 1966 and Executive alternate lane closures.
Crews will be sealing bridge joints.
US-54 & State Line Project
Monday, Oct. 14 through Friday, Oct. 18 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- US-54 south- and northbound from State Line Road reduced to one lane.
Crews will be working demolition and preparation of the new turnaround of side shoulders.
Paisano Bridge Replacement
Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, through Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025
Continuous closure
- US-62 (Paisano) eastbound between Doniphan and Executive closed.
Crews will be working on demolition and bridge work.
Pedestrian Facilities Improvement Project
Monday, Oct. 14 through Friday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- US-62 (Paisano) west- and eastbound between Boone and Val Verde right lane closed.
Crews will be working on demolition of guardrails, concrete curb, gutter, sidewalks, and fencing.
- BU-54 (Dyer) west- and eastbound between Titanic and Hercules left lane closed.
Crews will be working on median improvements.
- SL-478 (Dyer) west- and eastbound between Ellerthorpe and Julian right lane closed.
Crews will be working on trenching for conduit installation.
US-62 Rehabilitation Project
Monday, Oct. 14 through Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Daily)
- Montana (US-62) westbound and eastbound left lane closures Mescalero Drive to Airways Boulevard.
Crews will be milling and paving. Expect delays and intermittent cross-street and driveway closures. If possible, seek alternate routes. Please remember those residential/business access may be temporarily shifted due to milling/paving activities.
Guardrail Repair Project
Monday, Oct. 14.
- US-54 southbound between Cassidy and Pershing on-ramp closure at Cassidy on-ramp.
Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- US-54 northbound at Cassidy exit left lane closed.
Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-10 westbound between Mesa and Resler left lane closed.
Thursday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-10 eastbound between Schuster to Porfirio Diaz right lane closed with a complete off-ramp closure at Porfirio Diaz.
Miscellaneous Concrete
Sunday, Oct. 13 through Thursday, Oct. 17 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. (Nightly)
- I-10 eastbound between Copia and Paisano left lane closed.
- I-10 westbound between Airway and Paisano left lane closed.
Crews will be repairing concrete barrier wall.
Spall Repair
Sunday, Oct. 13 through Thursday, Oct. 16 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Nightly)
- I-10 westbound between Schuster overpass and Sunland Park alternate lane closures.
Wednesday, Oct. 16 through Thursday, Oct. 17 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Nightly)
- I-10 eastbound between Sunland Park and Schuster overpass alternate lane closures.
Crews will be repairing spall.
Montana Widening Project
Wednesday, Oct. 9 to Saturday, Oct. 19. Daily, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Montana Avenue (US 62/180) eastbound frontage road shoulder closure from Global Reach to Lee Trevino.
Crews will be working on metal beam guard fence.
Wednesday, Oct. 9 to Saturday, Nov. 2. Daily, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Montana Avenue (US 62/180) westbound frontage road left lane closure from Saul Kleinfeld to Lee Boulevard.
Crews will be exporting material.
Monday, Oct. 14 to Thursday, Oct. 17. Nightly, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Montana Avenue westbound frontage road left shoulder and Wooster on-ramp closed.
- Montana Avenue westbound traffic must exit at Lee Trevino Exit-29.
Crews will be working on installing mountable curb.
Purple Heart 375 Widening Project
Continuous closure until further notice:
- Purple Heart Highway north and southbound shoulder closures from Montana Avenue to Spur 601.
Crews will be widening main lanes and constructing north and southbound frontage road.
Loop 375 Widening Project
Continuous closure, beginning Monday, Oct. 14 to Friday, Oct. 18.
- Americas Avenue (frontage road) southbound left lane and south to north turnaround UPRR Bridge underpass at North Loop Road.
- Americas Avenue (frontage road) northbound, north to south turnaround UPRR Bridge underpass at Alameda Avenue.
Crews will be working on installation of curb/sidewalk, guardrail, and concrete barrier.
Alameda Mill and Inlay Project
Sunday, Oct. 13 to Friday, Oct. 18. Nightly, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Alameda Avenue east- and westbound alternate lane closures between Padres Drive and Delta Drive.
Crews will be milling and paving.
Horizon/Darrington Reconstruction Project
Monday, Oct. 14 to Friday, Oct. 25. Daily, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Darrington Road at Pawling Drive alternate lane closures.
Crews will be installing temporary signals on existing traffic poles.
Alameda Raised Medians Project
Sunday, Oct. 13 to Friday, Oct. 18. Nightly, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and daily, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Alameda Avenue (SH-20) east- and westbound inside lane closures between Rio Vista Road and Passmore Road.
Crews will be installing concrete medians and electrical items.
Loop 375 Mill and Inlay Project
Sunday, Oct. 13 to Thursday, Oct. 17. Nightly, from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Joe Battle Boulevard (frontage road) north- and southbound alternating lane closures between Pellicano Drive and Montana Avenue.
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in work areas.
Crews will be pouring concrete sidewalks in the shoulders and striping at intersections controlled by Temporary Traffic Signals.
ADA Improvements Project
Monday, Oct. 14 until further notice. Daily, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Alameda Avenue (SH-20) east- and westbound alternating lane closures from Americas Highway (Loop 375) to Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281).
Crews will be removing sidewalks and ramps for ADA improvements.
I 10 Landscape & Aesthetics Project
Friday, Oct. 11 to Friday, Oct. 18. Daily, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-10 eastbound at Lee Trevino underpass right lane and shoulder closure.
- Gateway East Boulevard at Lee Trevino Drive left lane closed.
- I-10 westbound at Lee Trevino underpass right lane and shoulder closure.
Crews will be removing concrete riprap.
