EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — Organizers with the MountainStar Sports Group Amigo Airsho will be allowing spectators on Sunday, Oct. 13 to bring their own water onto the venue at Biggs Army Airfield, they said.

Spectators will be allowed to bring their own water “in response to high demand and unseasonably warm temperatures,” the Amigo Airsho said in a news release.

The airshow returned Saturday after a 12-year hiatus. Many visitors criticized the event on social media platforms around the El Paso region for not allowing spectators to bring their own water and for long lines at the concession stands.

“While we celebrate the success of the Airsho’s attendance after a 12-year absence, it’s important to make sure our guests remain comfortable and hydrated throughout the afternoon,” said Alan Russell, MountainStar Sports Group Amigo Airsho chairman.

“We are allowing people to bring in their own water supply through the gates,” Russell said.

The Amigo Airsho continues Sunday. Gates open 9 a.m. and the airshow will run from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
