Guitarist Jake E. Lee, who played with Ozzy Osbourne, injured in ‘random’ Las Vegas shooting

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Guitarist Jake E. Lee, who formerly played for Ozzy Osbourne, was shot Tuesday while walking his dog, his publicist said.

Lee was recovering from multiple gunshot wounds, the publicist told 8 News Now. He was expected to recover fully and was conscious at a Las Vegas hospital following the shooting.

Las Vegas Metro police confirmed the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. near Valley View Boulevard and Starr Avenue in the south valley. The department declined to release any information about the shooting and requested 8 News Now file a records request for more information.

The shooting was random, the publicist said.

Lee formed the band Red Dragon Cartel and was the lead guitarist under Osbourne in the 1980s.
