El Paso Zoo introduces newest scooter attraction

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — Zip through the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens with their newest attraction: Scooter Pals.

Scooter Pals are motorized, rideable stuffed animals on wheels that seat two people and allow guests to drive through designated areas of the zoo, according to the news release by the City of El Paso.

Guests can choose between five different animal friends to travel with, including a black bear, dinosaur, rhino, shark and unicorn.

According to the City, guests can rent a Scooter Pal at the zoo’s gift shop and scan a QR code. Once you fill out the form, you’re ready to ride with your new furry friend.

The rides are on a first-come, first-served basis with a $5 fee to activate, and cost an additional 35 cents per minute, according to the City.

Scooter Pals are available for participants 18 years and older with a weight limit of 440 pounds, according to the City.
