UPDATE: The last day that the Kuna Rural Fire District will be accepting donations is Monday, July 29. If anyone wishes to donate after Monday, please contact the American Red Cross to see where donations can be best utilized.

UPDATE: The donations collected at the Kuna Fire Department have been delivered to fire crews working on the Durkee Fire in Eastern Oregon.

The department will take the remaining donations out to Ontario on Monday, but they are asking the public to now send donations directly to the Red Cross.

As the Durkee Fire rages on in Eastern Oregon, swelling to cover over 250,000 acres, Kuna Rural Fire District is thanking the community for their generous donations to support responding fire crews.

The Kuna Rural Fire District gathered supplies for the over 600 firefighters that are currently working to control the Durkee Fire. The supplies collected earlier this week went to the Ontario collection center. The department will make another trip out to Ontario Monday but they are asking the public to now send donations directly to the Red Cross.
