CUMRU TWP., Pa. - This week's Furry Friends come from the Animal Rescue League in Cumru Township. First up is "Preston." He's a two-year-old American Pit Bull. This lucky pup got to do a photo shoot with first responders as part of an adoption initiative. The shelter says he's a sweet boy who will usually roll over for a belly rub and loves going for walks.
Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center to Host Historic Exhibits This Weekend
The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center in Pennsburg is part of the Lehigh Valley’s Passport to History program this weekend, Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21. As a free event for all, it is a great opportunity to explore the rich history of our region. This weekend features activities for all ages and interests: a new model train exhibit as well as quilt exhibits, crafts for young and old, a special concert on Sunday, and guided tours of an 1826 barn. Hours are 10 AM to 4 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 4 PM on Sunday.

Camp Smile brought a week full of joy to campers at the annual event hosted by the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley at Muhlenberg College’s Moyer Hall.
