Man arrested after shooting in Allentown, Pennsylvania, police say
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a shooting near Allentown, Pennsylvania's Dominican festival on Sunday night.Allentown police said Yunior Peralta Quintana is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related charges.In a statement shared on Facebook, Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk said his office was aware of a "shooting incident" on the 100 block of North 7th Street. Police said Monday that multiple people were shot, but no one was killed.Gunfire was heard in the downtown area Sunday night. According to the county, there were two groups of people shooting at each other. The spokesperson added that no police officers were shot during the incident.Video captured near Linden and 7th streets Sunday showed a large police presence in the area, but Tuerk said in his statement that there is "no ongoing danger to the public."
