Matvei Michkov may have already breached his contract with the Flyers
Matvei Michkov is regarded as one of the best prospects in the NHL, but he may have just breached his contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. Drafted 7th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2023 NHL entry draft, Matvei Michkov was expected to be with SKA St. Petersburg for three more years, but will now be coming to North America for the 2024-25 season.

The Calgary Flames made an amazing pick by selecting Zayne Parekh 9th overall at the 2024 NHL entry draft, but he is now under fire for comments on Jett Luchanko. The NHL released its draft video today, highlighting several of the NHL's newest prospects, including first overall pick Macklin Celebrini, fourth overall pick Cayden Lindstrom, son of Jarome Iginla Tij Iginla, Montreal Canadiens selection Michael Hage, and Calgary Flames 9th overall pick Zayne Parekh who is one of few players of southeast Asian descent in hockey.

19-year-old drowns while swimming in N.J. lake
A 19-year-old man drowned Saturday in Lake Garrison in Gloucester County, according to the Elk Township police chief. The Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the man accidentally drowned, according to Elk Township Police Chief Lance Hitzelberger. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Environmental Protection Agency is awarding $4.3 billion in grants to fund projects in 30 states to reduce climate pollution. The money will go to 25 projects targeting greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, electric power, commercial and residential buildings, industry, agriculture and waste and materials management. The grants are paid for by the 2022 climate law approved by congressional Democrats.
