Fire at Circle Bay; investigation is underway
A fire is burning in the Circle Bay area on Woronkofski Island. That’s about seven miles west of Wrangell on U.S. Forest Service land. The Wrangell Fire Department and the Forest Service are working together to formulate a plan for extinguishing the fire. Currently, the wildfire is estimated to be less than one acre.
