NORTH DAKOTA ( KXNET ) — An interactive driving program is coming to Minot and Bismarck this summer through Vision Zero Driving Skills for Success (DSFS).

According to a news release, DSFS is designed to give teenagers with a permit or license aged between 14-18 a hands-on driving experience. The course will let teens participate in interactive traffic safety activities, while also having the chance to drive through a challenging course with obstacles, learn how to parallel park, and experience simulators with impaired and distracted driving prevention.

Teens can register for the free one-day event on either Wednesday, June 19 at Minot State University or Tuesday, July 30, at the Bismarck VFW Sports Center. Two sessions will be available on both days — the first from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the second from 1-4 p.m

Alive at 25, a course designed to reduce the likelihood of crashes among young drivers, is a defensive driving course that will also be available each day. However, it’s limited to the first 25 people per session. Those sessions are from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-5 p.m.

You can register here , and a confirmation email will be sent from NDDOT before the event. Parents can attend DSFS, but Alive at 25 is a setting for teens only.
