BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — Yet another couple road construction projects are set to begin this Monday in the capital city.

19th Street in Bismarck will be closed for construction starting on August 12. The closure will run from the Calgary Avenue intersection south to Oregon Drive.

During this time, the strip of road will be reconstructed and a mini roundabout will be added at the 19th Street and Calgary Avenue intersection. It’s expected that road work will last one month.

A detour, however, will be put in place, with northbound 19th Street traffic being re-routed west on Century Avenue, north on State Street, and then east on 43rd Avenue North. Southbound 19th street traffic will still use the same route.

A separate road construction project will start nearby as well on Monday, running from 14th Street between Harvest Lane and 200 feet south of Calgary Avenue. This project is also scheduled to last a month, but lanes on 14th Street will be open on both sides of the road.

If you have any concerns or questions about these road closures, contact the Bismarck city government at 701-355-1700.
