BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department has officially posted the 2024 Private Land Open to Sportsmen Guide for those seeking to make their mark in this year’s hunting season.

This year’s guide features approximately 836,000 acres of PLOTS land, as well as maps highlighting walk-in areas (which can be identified by inverted triangular yellow signs) and other public lands.

As PLOTS tracts can be changed throughout the year, all hunters are encouraged to use Game and Fish’s mobile app or other mapping applications to stay up to date on recent developments. Map sheets are updated weekly on the department’s website.

To maximize the use of hunter funds, the department notes that fewer signs will be placed on PLOTS tracts in the future. The savings, they state, will instead be directed towards the addition of more habitat and access.

To access the PLOTS guide, click here . Free printed versions will be available in late August at most license vendors, as well as other locations throughout the state. These guides are not available by mail, and must be picked up at a local vendor or Game and Fish office.
