BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — Four people are now in jail after police and drug investigators say they were part of an effort to sell hundreds of fentanyl pills.

Police say a person tipped them off that Davon McClinton, also known as ‘D-boy’ was traveling from Detroit to Bismarck with drugs.

Investigators got a search warrant for an apartment along Arbor Avenue on Friday.

Inside, they found four people, including McClinton, Steven Hicks, Jaymone Walker Estes, and the renter of the apartment.

Drug task force agents searched the apartment and said they found 720 fentanyl pills marked ‘m-30’ in an oatmeal container. Agents say the pills had a street value of around $20,000.

Police also arrested Albrina Curtis at a Bismarck hotel.

Police say Curtis is a prostitute who one man says helped McClinton and Hicks by giving them rides and laundering money.

McClinton was in court this week. He’s being charged with Conspiracy to manufacture and deliver Fentanyl and drug possession of 40 grams or more, both are ‘A’ felony counts.

Both McClinton and Hicks had their bonds set at $200,000. Agents say Hicks drove a rental car and brought more pills to sell.

When questioned, Jaymone Walker Estes said he was getting paid to stay at the apartment in Bismarck and oversee the operation.

So far, the four people are set to go to trial on December 4.
