    North Dakotans favor this pie the most

    NORTH DAKOTA ( KXNET ) —While the season of comfort food and family gatherings is still in the future, there is one dessert that hails as number one.

    That dessert is pie. But every state favors a different flavor.

    Holiday Calendar found the data that reveals North Dakota’s favorite flavor: Blueberry.

    However, pecan pie won the hearts of 15 states, with apple pie taking 14 states.

    Lunchtime makeover: Simple tips for healthier meals

    While blueberry is the top pie, cherry, apple, pecan, and peanut butter are also some favorites.

    Nevada was the only other state that ranked blueberry as their number one.

    Our neighboring states all have differing opinions. Montana likes apple pie, Minnesota likes sweet potato pie, and South Dakota likes pumpkin pie.
