MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — A 19-year-old man charged with three felonies for his involvement in a shooting pleaded not guilty on Thursday.

Police say Jamonie Davis was one of two shooters in the Downtown Minot incident.

According to court documents, a fight broke out amongst a group of people on June 23 at around 3:30 a.m. along 1st Avenue SE and Main Street. Several shots were fired, injuring three people, and then everyone involved fled the scene.

After police obtained several videos of the incident, including a Facebook live video, they said they had enough evidence to arrest Davis as the second shooter. They said he fired around eight shots with a 9-millimeter.

A detective told the court, that after being arrested, Davis admitted to firing his weapon that night, and then ditched it in the river. However, he pleaded not guilty to Reckless Endangerment, Aggravated Assault, and Tampering with Evidence, all class C felonies.

The judge also denied a request for Davis’ bond to be lowered, due to his bail jumping, in the past. He’s due back in court in October.
