Be sure to trim weeds on Mandan property

MANDAN, ND ( KXNET ) — Mandan city officials are reminding residents to make sure they’re lawns and yards meet the height restrictions for weed and vegetation growth.

City ordinances mandate all noxious weeds and overgrown vegetation must be maintained under six inches and be cut or sprayed by September 1.

If not, the city will do the cutting and spraying, and the costs will be added to the property’s special assessments.

If you plan to spray noxious weeds and overgrown vegetation instead of cutting it, you need to contact Mandan’s code enforcement officer at (701) 667-3264 to avoid having the city cut the property.
